FORGIVENESS
for·give·ness
- act of pardoning somebody: the act of pardoning somebody for a mistake or wrongdoing
- forgiving quality: the tendency to forgive offenses readily and easily
Why should we forgive someone? How many times should we forgive them? Are there certain things that are forgivable and things that aren't? Should we forgive everyone or just those close to us?
Do we forget, when we forgive? Can we really forget? Again, does it depend on the offense or the person?
Do we let people know when they have offended us and that we forgive them? Do we just forgive without letting someone know we were offended?
Are there any hard and fast answers?
Do we forgive more as we get older or are we less flexible?
Does forgiveness make your life easier or harder?
I will continue to contemplate this.
Ciao for now,
Peggy
